During her 2020 practicum at ProjectiGive Ma'kyia served as Social Justice Scholar with a profound commitment to harnessing the unifying power of sports for societal change. Her primary focus was on the strategic development of the Social Justice Olympics Summit, an initiative aimed at fostering partnerships that leverage athletic platforms to address and advocate for social justice issues. Ma'Kyia played a pivotal role in conceptualizing and implementing strategies to bring together diverse stakeholders, thereby creating a collaborative environment dedicated to using sports as a catalyst for meaningful social reform. Ma'Kyia graduated from Winston-Salem State University with a degree in Sports Management.
